Pet Shop Boys set to release new music in April

According to Neil Tennant (via a series of tweets on the band’s official account), the tracks, titled ‘The Lost Room’, ‘I Will Fall’, ‘Skeletons In The Closet’ and ‘Kaputnik’ were left off ‘Super’ “not because we didn’t like them, but because they didn’t fit the album.”

Tennant added that they now make up an EP together because “they all sit together quite well, production-wise, they’re all super-electronic” and “some of them are sort of relevant to the world at the moment.”

Of ‘The Lost Room’, the EP’s quasi-title track, Tennant added: “It also seems to represent a sort of larger, philosophical or political point, where there’ve been times recently where the world feels a bit lost in terms of the direction it’s going in.”

The four songs, “The lost room”, “I will fall”, “Skeletons in the closet” and “Kaputnik” were written and recorded as demos in London and Berlin in 2015 for potential inclusion on the album “Super” but weren’t included “not because we didn't like them,” according to Neil Tennant,

Entertainment world react after England knocked out of 2022 World Cup by France

Kane then hit a second penalty over the bar after Mason Mount was adjudged to have been fouled.

In the wake of the defeat, which sees England exit the tournament and France head into a Semi Final with Morocco, the music and entertainment world have been reacting to the disappointing loss online.

“That’s football,” Richard Osman wrote, “sometimes it goes against you. Gutted for Harry. Allez Morocco!”

Others to share commiserations include Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham, who wrote: “With a better/fairer Referee, England would have won that or at least gone to pens. So, no disgrace. We are as good, if not better, than the likely winners. Gareth and the whole squad deserve a lot of credit.”

The 2022 World Cup kicked off last month but has been plagued by criticisms of corruption, while Qatar’s views on homosexuality and the alleged deaths of thousands of migrant workers has also caused a backlash.

In the run-up to the tournament beginning, Dua Lipa denied rumours that she was to perform at the opening ceremony and called on Qatar to “fulfil all the human rights pledges it made when it won the right to host the World Cup,” while Rod Stewart revealed that he also turned down the opportunity to be a part of the celebrations for moral reasons.

Meanwhile Morgan Freeman was heavily criticised for helping to officially launch the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

Earlier in the tournament, it was announced that England and Wales would no longer wear ‘OneLove’ armbands during matches, which were designed as a gesture to support LGBT+ rights, but has now seen teams threatened with sanctions by FIFA for wearing them. At their match with Japan, the German team protested by wearing rainbows on their boots and training kit and covering their mouths in a team photo.

The 1975: “Depeche Mode have aesthetically influenced us quite a lot”

Healy also went into detail about his habit of writing songs that don’t have a chorus. “It’s not until somebody points it out to me that I think, ‘Oh my God, it doesn’t have a traditional chorus’. It’s the same with [2013 single] ‘Sex’, it doesn’t have a traditional chorus, it just has this kind of resolve at the end.

“I think a lot of my favourite songs are like that – I’ve referenced ‘All My Friends’ by LCD Soundsystem openly throughout my career and there’s kind of like an attention, suspension going on the whole time, and then you get this resolve. Maybe that’s good enough for us, maybe we don’t actually need the chorus. We’ve been taught that the chorus is the Revelation but maybe it’s not.”

Meanwhile, Depeche Mode are set to release their 15th studio album, ‘Memento Mori’, in spring 2023. It is their first record since the death of founding member and keyboardist Andy Fletcher, who passed away in May at the age of 60. Poppy cancels several European headline shows due to “current climate”

On Friday (November 4), Poppy announced that she would now be cancelling a majority of those shows.

“We have considered all options and unfortunately, we need to cancel a few European dates on the Never Find My Place tour. This isn’t a decision that came easy – with the current climate of the world and the difficulty it presents to touring musicians it makes it nearly impossible for us in the US to get over to most of Europe,” said Poppy.

“Refunds will be issued to you from your point of purchase. Apologies to you over this inconvenience – but it is unfortunately out of my hands. Everyone who knows me, knows how much I adore playing shows and getting to see you. Here’s to a fresh ‘23,” she added.

Poppy then confirmed the UK leg of the tour would still be going ahead, as would a one-off headline show in Amsterdam on December 2, 2022.

Speaking to NME about the record, which was released last month, Poppy said: “Well the EP is consisting of four songs and I just feel like they are a mini-chapter in my life. I wrote the songs in December of last year, so it’s taken them a moment to come out and I’m really excited about it.”

M.I.A. releases new track ‘The One’, confirms album ‘MATA’ is on the way

Yesterday (May 25), M.I.A. teased the new track on her socials, writing “If you’re looking for the one… It’s coming early.”

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by M.I.A. (@miamatangi)

“I know that it was the pandemic, and kind of everything was hitting the fan, but I’d got to a place that was really happy,” she recently told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe about the new track.

“In a way, it’s kind of rebellious because everybody’s expecting me to put out that really havoc… Everyone’s expecting that, but it’s not, that’s not what it is,” M.I.A. continued.

“It’s about the battle of the ego versus you finding yourself and you finding the spiritual leader. Spirituality within, whatever form is given to you. I think that’s really interesting, when you think everything, you get challenged by the universe. And that happened to me. Really I’m just here to share that.”

She also talked to Lowe about her new album, saying “I think there’s a bit of a battle on the record. That there is a bit of a clash, but the clash is like your ego and spirituality. Those are the clashes. Because as a musician, you need some ego, otherwise you can’t do it.”

Watch Charli XCX and Rina Sawayama turn cult leaders in ‘Beg For You’ video

In the Nick Harwood-directed clip, Charli and Sawayama lead a cult through the lonely plains of Lancaster, California, accompanied by two characters depicting Jesus and Satan.

Towards the end of the video, the two pop stars perform a joint ritual on a raised platform as the cult dances around them in a circle. Charli then cuts her hand and squeezes the blood into a pool, which Jesus drinks from using a ladle. The cult then pass out leaving just Charli, Sawayama, Jesus and Satan.

You can watch the video below:

Charli has previously shared two other singles from ‘CRASH’: ‘Good Ones’ (which she later had remixed by Perfume Genius) and ‘New Shapes’ (which featured Christine And The Queens and Caroline Polachek).

The pop star has promised that her new record will sport “an overload of sexiness”, and teased that it will “make people dance and cry at the same time”.

The band added that “Parcels Pop Shop members will get early access to tickets” while general tickets go on sale on Friday (September 24) at 10am. You can see the full list of tour dates below.

NOVEMBER 2021

2 – Islington Assembly Hall, London, UK
5 – La Cigale, Paris, France
6 – Metropol, Berlin
19 – Music Hall Of Williamsburg, New York, US

News of the tour comes after Parcels recently announced details of their second album ‘Day/Night’ and shared their most recent single ‘Somethinggreater’.

Set to be released in November, the follow-up to their 2018 self-titled album is made up of “two self-contained albums” and was recorded at Paris’ La Frette Studios. It was produced by Parcels, with James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Foals) on mixing duty and string arrangements handled by Owen Pallett.

The record will be comprised of 19 tracks, including previous singles ‘Free’, ‘Comingback’, and the song ‘Somethinggreater’.

In 2018, NME awarded Parcels’ debut album five stars, saying: “In a time when new acts are pressured into releasing as much music as possible, it’s commendable that Parcels have taken control of their destiny with a project that’s well-thought-out and engaging from start-to-finish. It feels both timely and from a different era – a very rare feat.”

Since that record’s release, the five-piece band have also put out a live album, called ‘Live Vol. 1’, which was recorded live on tape at the iconic Hansa Studio in Berlin. Before that, they also shared the EP ‘IknowhowIfeel’.

Lil Baby fined for cannabis possession in France

Lil Baby subsequently told his fans and followers on Twitter and Instagram this morning that he was “good” and that he was heading back to the US.

I’m good 🙌🏽

A post shared by The kiDD (@lilbaby)

Lil Baby had been attending Paris Fashion Week with NBA star James Harden, the latter of whom prosecutors said was “not arrested nor placed in custody” with the rapper.

According to French newspaper Le Parisien, Paris police said they checked a vehicle that smelled like cannabis at around 4:30pm local time. Police later shared the video on Twitter to show that the search of the vehicle was justified.

Bravo à la police française 🤦🏾‍♂️ des incompétents… même pas capable de reconnaître James HARDEN pic.twitter.com/YLAeBFdaXk

A clip shared online that has since gone viral appears to show police officers questioning Harden and another man. Harden can be heard saying, “I don’t understand.”

Lil Baby and Harden have bonded over music in recent times, with Harden also having a producer credit on Lil Baby’s latest record with Lil Durk, ‘The Voice Of The Heroes‘.

Lil Baby is set to perform at this year’s Wireless Festival in London. The festival’s 2021 line-up includes headline performances by FutureSkepta and Migos.

The annual festival is moving to south London’s Crystal Palace Park for this year’s event, which is due to run from September 10-12.

France to lift all COVID-19 restrictions on outdoor events this month

Previously outdoor festivals in France were limited to 5,000 people, seated, with social distancing equivalent to a space of 4m² for each festival-goer. “It was unrealistic; people can not sit in their own little square,” says Aurélie Hannedouche, head of the Union of Contemporary Music (SMA).

Speaking to Le Dauphiné libéré, Aurélie Hannedouche of the Union of Contemporary Music (SMA) said she welcomes the news as the previous plans for socially-distanced festivals were “unrealistic,” but that “it will be hard to readjust for festivals planned around mid-July.”

Joe Talbot from Idles performs at Rock en Seine festival in Paris.

Back in February, France’s metal festival Hellfest, set to be held last week (June 18-20), cancelled its 2021 edition, saying that “the uncertainties about the health situation and the latest government regulations” had “forced” them to cancel the event.

In the UK, meanwhile, data from a series of test events have concluded that just 28 people who attended pilot events researching the impact of large-scale gatherings tested positive for the virus.

ERP scientists described the findings as “reassuring” but warned the results should be taken with “extreme caution” due to only 15 per cent of participants taking PCR tests after the events.

Discussing the country’s July 19 reopening date, which is when all coronavirus restrictions are scheduled to be lifted in England after being pushed back earlier this month, Mark Davyd of the Music Venue Trust said: “Everyone wants to reopen those venues safely. The government mantra is data not dates. The data says we can do this safely on 19 July.”

In a four-star review, NME‘s Nick Levine wrote: “12 years after the tracks ‘Obsessions’ and ‘Mowgli’s Road’ introduced us to a singular musical talent, Marina’s melodies and vocal hooks still don’t sound like anybody else’s. Nothing in this world could change her, and for that we should all be damn grateful.”

Last month, Pussy Riot remixed Marina’s ‘Purge The Poison’, the original version of which feature on her new album.

“Catchy and contagious, ‘Purge The Poison’ is an ear-worm, and it feeds your brain with the right questions and encourages you to think,” the band’s Nadya Tolokonnikova said. “I was blown away by this track, and it’s my pleasure to be on ‘Purge”s remix.”

In a further statement she added: “The last few weeks I’ve been figuring out different ways at home that I can be of service to what I would call the singular global community, one that I believe to be kind in nature, one that I believe to be very special to my heart and I believe to the hearts of many.

Reviewing Gaga’s new album ‘Chromatica’, NME wrote: “On ‘Chromatica’ Gaga has fully embraced creating a pure pop album. The record is littered with catchy choruses and glossy production – but it goes deeper than that. ‘Chromatica’ is ‘about healing and it’s about bravery,’ she explained before the album came out, adding: ‘sound is what healed me in my life period, and it healed me again making this record.’

Future – 31 DAYS Lyrics

[Intro]
Zaytoven
Every now and then, you know what I’m sayin’
Most of them, majority of the time
You dig
We in that mode

[Verse 1]
This is a moment of clarity
Everything VV’s, I’m gone to the maximum
Young nigga flood out a ‘axima, flawless the face, then run through a pack of them
Everything classical, everything magical when they was checking my catalogue
Eating on caviar, smash on a stallion
Draped in medallions, yeah
The pill on the caliber
Put on the passenger
Whatever time, wherever I was at
Look on the calendar, yeah we compatible
I have her flying where ever I’m at
You astronomical, way too phenomenal to not have her naked where I land
I got a second option, and fourth and fifth one whereever a nigga staying
I had it falling right out of my pocket when I was just smashing her, she seen the bands
Her body Coca-Cola and she seen a can
The Glock was still on me while we was romancin’
Think I fell in love with this girl, came from France
She caramel, what’d i get a tan
I need to pay her when I get the chance
Gave her some drip, gave her a whole lot of splash
Talkin’ that shit, he get smoked like a blunt
Took a few Pakistanians to lunch
Got some little slim shit in Milan
These niggas be hatin’, putting on a front

[Chorus]
Money get made, bitches don’t ever get saved
Saint Laurent shades, cookin’ up dope, gettin’ paid
Trying to get laid, she been with me 31 days
She like bitches anyways, so we been on the same damn page
I took a little E, got red bottoms all on my feet
I ran it up, I got your baby mama knee deep
She ain’t got no teeth, she know a young nigga eat beef
She want me to leave, she know I’m not a rat, I got cheese
I was quieter than a mouse, when I got it in her mouth she couldn’t breathe
I was thinking like, “Jeez,” she done got a lil schlong on my teeth
I done took a little E, I fucked her and made her pee
Made her part of my team, then she asked me for a ring
I was already red bottom, came on the scene
It’s hard to trust you when I’m paying this carpet green
Money get made, bitches don’t ever get saved
Saint Laurent shades, cookin’ up dope, gettin’ paid
Trying to get laid, she been with me 31 days
She like bitches anyways, so we been on the same damn page

[Verse 2]
Doing it on a chinchilla, oh yeah
We fucking a couple of strippers together
Shawty my rider, she down for whatever
Y’all give her capital murder, her swagger killer
Shawty got more bags than a drug dealer
I put her in a Patek, I put her in the c’s
I’m on a whole ‘other level with her
Had to get a penthouse just for the freaks
So they could all come and sleep with us
We do nothing that is normal, everything we do is super gigantic
We don’t put on fugazi, everything we wear super Titanic
I just caught me a wave, feel like a nigga that jumped in the Atlantic
One hell of a car collection, pulling it up, it’s panoramic
Picked her up in a Cayenne, soon as she got in she got nothing on

[Chorus]
Trying to get laid, she been with me 31 days
She like bitches anyways, so we been on the same damn page
I took a little E, got red bottoms all on my feet
I ran it up, I got your baby mama knee deep
She ain’t got no teeth, she know a young nigga eat beef
She want me to leave, she know I’m not a rat, I got cheese
I was quieter than a mouse, when I got it in her mouth she couldn’t breathe
I was thinking like, “Jeez,” she done got a lil schlong on my teeth
I done took a little E, I fucked her, made her pee
Made her part of my team, then she asked me for a ring
I was already red bottom, came on the scene
It’s hard to trust you when I’m paying this carpet green
Money get made, bitches don’t ever get saved
Saint Laurent shades, cookin’ up dope, gettin’ paid
Trying to get laid, she been with me 31 days
She like bitches anyways, so we been on the same damn page

Justin Bieber – Maserati Lyrics

JUSTIN BIEBER
Maserati Lyrics

(Jaden Smith & Justin Bieber)
Ah
What’s up Jaden?
I’m feeling nice right now
I’m feeling good to bro
I’m feeling really nice right now
Swag
Swaggy
I’m in my closet right now
Literally in your closet?
I’m literally in my closet right now recording this song like a g
Misfits
You are a g bro
You’re a wrap
You’re a wrap bro
Ah swag
Swaggy, swaggy, swaggy, swaggy
(Jaden Smith)
Oh, I ain’t never met a groupie
All I meet is ladies
And I like my privacy
So I got a Mercedes
Got these chokers shaking
Reminding me have hated
Sorry ’bout the security
It’s only for your safety
Cause baby I’ll be pimpin’
Holler if you see me
I’m probably in Miami
With my girl in a bikini
Text me if you need me
Touch me if you’re greedy
‘Cause you’ll probably be with Nicki
While she says Waikiki
How we the illest and the youngest?
I really don’t know how we the killest and the dumbest
Swear it’s really early
But I don’t know where the sun is
And girl just take my hand
While I knock away these hundreds
Cause the crowd is going crazy
Money coming in bundles
Sorry that I couldn’t see you
It’s hard to see through my stunners
Dumb blondes be sayin’ I’m the funnest
All I’m hearing is claps
Though I don’t know where the drum is
Girl you like it
So just give me the mic
And I’ll get you so excited
Tell me what you want
I’ll go home and write it
To a old school beat
Baby take your lip and bite it
Oh jeez
Girl you got me and you gon’ make me work
Cause it’s usually a hobby
And no I really like you
And no it’s not your body
But trust me that’s a plus
Cause you’re hotter than wasabi
And I’m diggin’ on your kicks
Jokers talking ’bout karate
When I want a girl I just whip out the Maserati
No I can’t drive it
It’s only for the show
And I like to wear the (?)
Watch them circus glow
Girl I’m on like a light bulb
Are you coming home from the night club?
‘Cause I tried to get in but I ain’t reached the height limit
That might be over but the night isn’t so I’m
So text me if you tryna chill with Wesley
Cause me and Mandy are chillin’
So don’t wear nothing dressy
Inside jokes are only funny when you get them
So (?) is the place to be (?) and I’m living in them dance halls
Alright J I think I got it from here
Justin Bieber
Headphones on yeah
Turn them up a little bit
(Justin Bieber)
Baby I’m the man
I felt that you knew that
I’m now in Japan
Just because I do that
So baby don’t you stop it
Baby can you drop it
I give you my chain
I style like Kentucky
Money on my mind
And you on my mind
Too much on my mind
Too big for my time
And everybody know that
Baby I’m the man
Can’t you understand
Keep you wondering
If I’m the wonderman
And you’re in wonderland
Hey my name is JB
I’m always rocking Vans
And if I was your boyfriend
I would love you till the end
I’d kiss your face in public
You can tell all of your friends
Baby girl you got that body
Would you like to go to France?
We can fly there on my jet babe
I can give you jetlag
I don’t do Jamaica baby
I can make you sweat babe
And if you ain’t in the crew
You’ll never get this

Take A Mic – Boite Noire (Boite Noire Album)

[Couplet 1]
Si j’veux, j’réfléchis pas, j’kicke
J’dois l’faire, j’t’allume pour ma clique
Meuf, ferme ta gueule, astique
J’suis en train d’percer askip
Devant l’micro, j’suis agile

[Couplet 2]

Break up every night – The Chainsmokers lyrics

Lyrics The Chainsmokers – Break up every night

She wants to break up every night
She wants to break up every night
Don’t wanna wait until she finally decides to feel it
She wants to break up every night
Then tries to f*ck me back to life
How can I help it if I like the way she makes me feel it?

“Give me time, give me space, give me reason.”
That’s what you tell me when you’re leaving
Change your mind every night like the seasons
You’re insatiable.

And I know you say you want it now (want it now)
Give me the runaround (runaround)
Which one am I with now?
She’s got seven personalities, every one’s a tragedy.

She wants to break up every night
She wants to break up every night
Don’t wanna wait until she finally decides to feel it
She wants to break up every night
Then tries to f*ck me back to life
How can I help it if I like the way she makes me feel it?

Been to France one time and you’re Parisian
Joined the real world, new season
Check my phone, check my pulse, ain’t a reason
I kinda love it though.

And I know you say you need me now (need me now)
Give me the runaround (runaround)
Which one am I with now?
She’s got seven personalities, every one’s a tragedy.

She wants to break up every night
She wants to break up every night
Don’t wanna wait until she finally decides to feel it
She wants to break up every niiight
Then tries to f*ck me back to life
How can I help it if I like the way she makes me feel it?
She wants to break up every night versuri-lyrics.info
She wants to break up every niiight
Don’t wanna wait until she finally decides to feel it.

So I build the bridges up, the bridges up
Build the bridges up again
Build the bridges up, the bridges up
Build the bridges up again
Build the bridges up, the bridges up
Build the bridges up again, ohhh.

She wants to break up every niiight
She wants to break up every niiight
Don’t wanna wait until she finally decides to feel it
She wants to break up every niiight
Then tries to f*ck me back to life
How can I help it if I like the way she makes me feel ittt?
